What is Contrave and what is it used for:

Contrave is a prescription weight-loss medication that combines two drugs: naltrexone and bupropion. Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist that reduces cravings for food and alcohol, while bupropion is an antidepressant that helps to decrease appetite and increase energy levels. Together, they work to help patients lose weight.

Contrave is used as part of a comprehensive weight-loss program that includes a reduced-calorie diet and exercise. It is prescribed for adults who have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater (obese) or a BMI of 27 or greater (overweight) with at least one weight-related medical condition, such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes.

How to take Contrave:

Contrave is taken orally, usually in the morning and evening. The starting dose is usually one tablet in the morning for the first week, followed by one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening for the second week. After two weeks, the dosage may be increased to a maximum of four tablets per day (two tablets twice daily).
