Uses: Mupirocin is used topically to treat skin infections such as impetigo, folliculitis, and furunculosis caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria. It may also be used to prevent infections in minor cuts and scrapes.

Dosage: Mupirocin is applied topically to the affected area 2-3 times per day, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Administration: Wash and dry the affected area before applying a small amount of mupirocin to the area. Gently rub the medication into the skin until it is evenly distributed. Cover the area with a sterile dressing if needed.
