Uses: Mycophenolate is used to prevent rejection in people who have received a kidney, liver, or heart transplant. It works by suppressing the immune system so that it does not attack the transplanted organ.
Administration: Mycophenolate is taken orally, usually twice daily on an empty stomach.
Side effects: Common side effects include upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, and trouble sleeping. More serious side effects can include infections, bleeding, and an increased risk of cancer.
