Rifampin is an antibiotic used to treat several types of bacterial infections, including tuberculosis (TB) and infections caused by certain types of bacteria. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

Uses:

• Treatment of active tuberculosis (TB) in combination with other medications.

How to Take:

• Take rifampin exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• It is usually taken on an empty stomach, 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal, with a full glass of water.
• Consistency is key: take it at the same time each day.
• Do not skip doses, and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
